This is usually due to fillers being placed in the wrong position or in the wrong volume. Dissolving is possible, but only for hyaluronic acid fillers. If you would like to have Dr. Smith consider dissolving a filler you had placed previously, it is important to know the type of filler used if possible.

Although Kybella sounds like a wonder drug to dissolve fat, its use is currently limited by the FDA to injection into the submental fat. Experimental use in other body areas is being done, but it is generally too expensive to use in larger body areas where other methods, such as suction lipectomy, are often used with skin removal as standard of care. Use for fat under the eyes is not recommended. Dr. Smith can determine if the fullness under your chin is amenable to the use of Kybella. Dr. Smith may recommend further tightening of the neck skin, such as Laser Lift or Ultherapy, after the fat is dissolved. Consultation with Dr. Smith will allow him to decide whether you are a good candidate for Kybella.
